SARAJEVO, March 11 (Xinhua) -- The total commodity exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in 2018 amounted to 31.17 billion convertible mark (KM)(17.92 billion U.S. dollars), 65.3 percent of which was made with members of the European Union (EU), the BiH Council of Ministers said on Monday.

Out of the total commodity exchange, BiH exported goods in the amount of 11.9 billion KM, and imported goods which amounted to 19.27 billion KM, BiH Council of Ministers said in the press release after a regular session.

The EU continues to be BiH's main foreign trade partner, accounting for 65.3 percent of the total volume of commodity exchanges, registering a year-on-year increase of 7.4 percent.

Export from BiH to the EU accounted for 73.0 percent of total BiH exports in 2018 and recorded an increase of 10.3 percent year-on-year. (1 U.S. dollar = 1.74 KM).
