KUALA LUMPUR, June 21 (Xinhua) -- Malaysian central bank, Bank Negara, said Thursday that its international reserves stood at 107.9 billion U.S. dollars as of June 14.

The reserves position is sufficient to finance 7.5 months of retained imports and is 1.0 time the short-term external debt, the bank said in a statement.

The international reserves consisted of 101.4 billion U.S. dollars in foreign currency reserves, 800 million U.S. dollars in International Monetary Fund Reserves Position, 1.2 billion U.S. dollars in Special Drawing Rights, 1.6 billion U.S. dollars in gold and 2.9 billion U.S. dollars in other reserves assets.
