VIENTIANE, June 13 (Xinhua) -- Lao Deputy Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone will visit China to attend the 5th China-South Asia Expo and the 25th China Kunming Import and Export Fair, the state-run Lao News Agency (KPL) reported.

The events, under the theme Integrating into the Belt and Road for Win-win Cooperation, will take place between Jun 14-20 in Kunming, Chinas Yunnan Province.

The events are aimed to promote trade and investment between China and South Asian and Southeast Asian countries through China-ASEAN, GMS, Mekong-Lancang cooperation frameworks, among others.

Deputy Prime Minister Sonexay is expected to meet his Chinese counterpart Hu Chunhua, and Yunnan Governor Ruan Chengfa, who is also president of the organizing committee of the two events.

He is also expected to discuss with the hosts issues related to enhancing the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Laos and China, reported KPL Tuesday.
